In Protego Totalum you have the chance to earn House points which are called as Gems for your favorite house err we mean your character's house. Wanna know how, it's very simple, you earn through the number of posts you write and some times earning points through special events and such. These Gems can be used in the G&G Shop to buy any stuff, IC or OOC.

If your character is a student then whatever gems you earn would be added to the House they were sorted to. For the students in the Exchange Program, they get to choose a Hogwarts House, They would be considered as the honorary members of that house.

You can claim the Gems whenever you want. But do make sure that you follow the below code and post the appropriate links to make it easy for us to validate them.

- 150+ word post (without the code)
- creating a character from the smallest group (member wise)
- for every claim you post in (class,club,birthdays, all such)
- for completing a thread
- for replying in an open owl (first and second reply)

- for making a muggleborn character

- reaching 25 IC posts (only RP posts)
- for making a character in school
- if the character is nominated for the OTM awards

- for completing a thread with more than 20 replies involving 2 chars
- Being a spectator of a Quidditch Match (per post)

- for making a halfblood character
- for making a character from the Sacred 28 families
- for every post in an event thread
- for starting a class / club thread
- if your character is nominated for an OTM award

- for making a total of 5 posts in 24 hours (same character)
- for making a student from Beauxbatons or Durmstrang.
- making a student character featured in the series
- if your character wins an OTM award

- 1000+ word post (without the code)
- reaching 50 IC posts (only RP posts)
- for making a pureblood character
- making a character from a member want-ad

- for posting a journal or one shot more than 1000 words
- reaching 75 IC posts (only RP posts)
- for posting with a new member (staff can’t claim this)
- earning a badge during an event
- for creating a thread in an empty board
- for creating a half-breed character (part vampire, part goblin etc)

- 1200+ word post(without the code)
- for making a total of 10 posts in 24 hours (any of your characters')
- making an adult character featured in the series
- for creating a creature (werewolf, vampire)

- 1500+ word post(without the code)
- reaching 100 IC posts (only RP posts)
- for making a total of 20 posts in 24 hours (any of your characters')
